An update on 2121 Fifth Avenue in Belltown!

Tsang Enterprises is inching closer to breaking ground on their proposed hotel and residential tower at 2121 Fifth Avenue in Belltown. The last design meeting was in January and the application for a master use permit was filed in April.

Located mid-block on Fifth Avenue between Blanchard and Lenora streets, plans call for an 18-story structure featuring 119 residential units, 207 hotel rooms, a restaurant and retail. There will also be five levels of underground parking for 121 vehicles accessible via the alley.

Tenants and hotel guests will have separate entrances and elevators off of Fifth Avenue. The hotel will occupy levels 2 through 11. Hotel amenities are on the second floor, while the remaining floors will feature 23 hotel rooms each.

Residential units begin on level 12 and continue through level 18. There will be 17 units per floor. The 119 residential units are comprised of 70 studio/open one-bedroom floor plans and 40 one-bedroom floor plans. There are no two-bedroom units. Units will range in size from 350 square foot studios to 735 square foot one-bedroom units. Residents will also have access to indoor and outdoor rooftop amenities. The outdoor area includes lounging areas, a pet area, barbecues and a fire pit.

2121 Fifth Avenue is located on the same block as The Martin apartments, Seattle Cinerama and Arrivé apartments (formerly Potala) at 2116 Fourth Avenue.

The 2121 team also includes Seattle-based architecture firm Caron Architecture. Construction could begin as early as the end of this year.

The next Design Review Meeting will be at 7:00pm on Tuesday, October 17 at City Hall, 600 Fifth Ave., Room L280.
