Onni 1120 Denny Way - South Lake Union Condo Tower
It’s been a little over 2-year since we last heard of Onni groups proposed double residential tower project at the site of the former Seattle Times Building. The project address is 1120 Denny Way in the South Lake Union neighborhood- in-between Denny Way and Thomas Street and Boren and Fairview Avenue north. Onni Group acquired the site from The Seattle Times for $62.5 million in 2013.

The latest news out this week- Canadian developer Onni Group has moved forward in the permit process. The plan is to erect two, 41-story mixed-use towers, 1,067 apartments or condos, with 28,118 sq. ft. of retail space. Parking for 1,347 vehicles to be located below grade.

The historic facade of The Seattle Times’ former headquarters on Fairview and John will be preserved as part of the new development. It’s still not clear yet if the project is going to be apartments or condominiums.
