If you’re in the market for a new home and started the process of house hunting, you have noticed by now that inventory is low, thus driving bidding wars in the Seattle area. This has been the case so far in 2017. The Northwest Multiple Listing Service (NWMLS) reported a rise in new listings during March – up more than 50% from February. In the Puget Sound region – King, Snohomish, Kitsap, and Pierce Counties – NWMLS members added 7,524 new listings last month, but they also reported an even greater number of pending sales (7,592), leaving available inventory near historic lows.
