Belltown Building to be Renovated - seattle real estate development

Ariel Development has plans in motion to renovate the Belltown Self Storage building in the Belltown neighborhood.

Plans are torenovate the existing 6-story structure and1920’s terra cotta facade, and add an additional 8-floors. This would include 112 hotel units, 44 residential units, 28 bike stalls,and 3,680 square feet of ground floor commercial space, according to information filed with the city. The existing floors below grade will be revised to house all the hotel back of house functions and community space for residents.

The projects primary goal is to create a unified street level experience with the surrounding historical structures while creating a seamless addition of the upper 8 floors with an elegant transition from old to new.Incorporating the historic charm and preserving the iconic character of the Seattle neighborhood.

The site is located mid block between Stewart Street and Virginia Street on 3rd Avenue. The address is 1915 3rd Ave, the current location of Belltown Self Storage.

An early design guidance meeting is tentatively set for February 16th, 7 p.m. at Seattle City Hall, 600 Fifth Ave., Room L280.
