NEIGHBORHOOD VIBE

Wallingford is a charming residential neighborhood located just east of Fremont on the north shore of Lake Union. The neighborhood’s main commercial strip is along 45th street where you’ll find the large neon “WALLINGFORD” sign atop QFC, the original Dick’s Drive-In, the now-closed Guild Theater and an assortment of restaurants, coffee shops, bars and boutiques.

There are a number of parks in the area including Gas Works Park. Overlooking Lake Union, the former coal gasification plant offers stunning views of the Seattle skyline along with recreational areas including a children’s park area and kite flying hill.

The Wallingford Farmers Market is held every Wednesday from late May through September in Meridian Park. You’ll find a variety of produce from Washington farms, baked goods, local wines and kombuchas, and so on.
